Ask the Guidance Centre

Common questions, clear answers

Six things families often ask

Session length depends on the student's stage and purpose. The Guidance Centre will confirm the expected duration when arranging the appointment.

Not necessarily. Assessments are one source of insight and may be recommended where they can add useful context to conversations, observations and academic information.

The Centre primarily supports Homerton students in Grades IX to XII and their parents. Other enquiries may be considered where applicable.

Yes. Parent consultation is encouraged at appropriate stages, while preserving space for students to express their own interests, questions and aspirations.

Online appointments may be available in suitable situations. Please mention your preference in the enquiry so the Centre can advise you.

The number varies by need. Some questions can be addressed in a focused session; broader planning may benefit from assessment, counselling and follow-up conversations.

Your future does not need to begin with all the answers.

It begins with the right conversation. Take the next step towards a confident, informed career journey.
